Our fly in outpost cabin on Grant Lake is centrally located on the lake just a few feet away from the waters edge. Grant Lake is a crystal clear lake that offers some of the best fly in fishing available! The smallmouth bass are plentiful and there are lots of smallmouth bass in the 2-4# range with some topping out even larger. The fishing is excellent throughout the season with all the different structure in the lake. The northern pike fishing is very good as well, with most pike running in the 4-8# range with the big fish topping out around 20#. The pike lurk in the weed beds and on the rocky points around the lake. The lake trout fishing is something that can be very exciting as well, most trout will be in the 4-7# range, with some pushing 15#+. Pulling a laker up from the depths will rival the hard fighting smallmouth bass, and are an excellent an eating fish as well. If all that isn't enough, you never know when an unsuspecting muskie will take that smallmouth that you almost have in the boat. There are some real trophy muskies in the lake for the serious muskie angler. Muskies in the 45" - 50" range are caught and released each year. This is an excellent lake for Tiger muskies, with a fair number being caught and released each year as well. Grant Lake is an excellent choice for the serious smallmouth bass angler looking for a few more options. If all that still isn't enough, there is a boat on Napanee Lake that offers more fantastic smallmouth bass, northern pike, and lake trout action.
